The poem, "Jumping Rope" is a poem for kids which is why I like it so much. It is easy to read and also very enjoyable. One poetic device found in this poem is rhyme scheme. It follows the BBBBB format. You can see the use of this throughout the poem. A second poetic devicefound in this poem is repetion. Repition is used when it says " jumping rope". You can see this in lines two, six, and ten. Another poetic device is rhyme. This author uses rhyme in lines two, four, six, eight, and ten. One example of rhyme in this poem is when it states "rope and dope". Overall, this is a "kiddy" poem, but I like it all the same. Sometimes we need to bring the youth out in us.
