The poem, "When you Come" is a very dark poem. I think this poet wrote this poem after a loved one past, because she writes about how many memories with this person she had and how they were so big, as well as all the secrets they had. Also, the poet wrote about how she cried when she lost them. A poetic device used in this poem is free verse. The reason there is free verse in this poem is because this poem does not follow a specific rhyme scheme. Another poetic device is hyperbole, because "memories can't lie". The last poetic device I seen in this poem was a second heyperbole. The hyperbole is seen in the poem when it states "trinkets of borrowed loves". Overall, this is a good poem but I don't like it as much as the others because of the topic of death.
